At Sisi, we offer 15 styles of safety footwear, extending across 2 sole shapes, tailored for women with narrow and standard-shaped feet.
This shape is considerate of women with narrow shaped feet. For these women, wearing ill-fitting men’s shoes could pose a potential hazard in the event that the foot slips out of the shoe during work. Furthermore, ill-fitting footwear causes great discomfort to the wearer, which can hinder productivity.
This shape has been designed to accommodate for women with standard shaped feet. This design takes into account the anatomical difference between men’s and women’s feet to allow for a better and more comfortable fit.

These are holes made directly in the leather upper that the lace is threaded through. These reduce the cost incurred through utilising a rust-resistant eye-let.
Due to the environments in which safety footwear are worn, liquid splashes do occur. Furthermore, all footwear is cleaned utilising a damp cloth. As a result, we have taken care to ensure that all our eye-lets and D-rings are made from rust-resistant materials.
D-rings serve as a quick lacing and unlacing feature. This is especially relevant in environments where a harmful substance could enter the footwear and the wearer needs to urgently remove their foot from the shoe.
All our toe caps are made from HHG steel and offer 200 joules impact protection in line with international standards.
A mesh is similar to a net in that it is developed from many attached or woven strands. The main benefit behind utilising a mesh fabric in a safety shoe is that it allows for heightened ventilation and breathability as air easily flows through the fabric. This can be hugely beneficial to those working in hot and humid conditions as the air helps to cool the feet.
Vecro straps provide easy adjustment to the tightness of a shoe throughout the day. These are recommended for individuals who suffer from swollen feet or those going through pregnancy.
Elastic side gussets have been used in our slip on footwear as the stretch in the elastic allows for easy entry and exit of the foot, without compromising on the snug fit of the footwear once on.
All Sisi footwear in-socks are made from anti-static non-woven material to enhance the ant-static properties of the footwear.
We offer two types of midsole options to enhance the resistance against an object penetrating the sole of the footwear and injuring the foot of the wearer:
Stainless steel midsoles provide excellent protection against sharp objects, including thin sharp objects like needles, penetrating the sole of your footwear and piercing your foot. Despite their highly protective nature, the steel midsoles only cover 80% of the foot bed.
Woven midsoles are lighter and more flexible then their steel compatriots and cover 100% of the foot bed. Furthermore, due to their metal-free nature, they can be used by individuals who work in metal scanning environments. In saying this, the woven nature of the fabric means that there is no guarantee against thin sharp objects, such as needles and glass, penetrating the midsole.
Polyurethane is a popular choice of soiling in safety footwear because it is a highly resilient material that maintains its shape over time. As a result, its durable properties make it ideal for light and heavy applications. Sisi footwear is available with either a single or dual density sole.
Footwear featuring single density PU soles are recommended for personnel working in light industrial environments such as warehousing, driving, retail, light manufacturing and industry executives. The grip offers high slip resistance and the steel toe cap and upper materials protects the wearer from the general hazards that are associated with these environments. These soles are lighter than dual density soled products, but not as durable.
Footwear featuring dual density PU soles are recommended for personnel working in heavy industrial environments where constant abrasion is common and high sole durability is required. The extra layer of PU enhances the products resistance against exposure to acids, oils and chemicals. Personnel requiring these types of footwear include, but are not limited to; construction workers, miners, farmers and farm labourers, engineers, mechanics, bottling plants and heavy manufacturing workers.

Our standard cut is designed to cater for women with standard body shapes. This cut accommodates for a bust size that is typically proportional to the waist area and a derriere that is typically proportional to the hip area.
We at Sisi understand that most women vary when it comes to body shape and size. This is why we have developed a fit suited to curvier women. Our extended cut range has been designed to accommodate for a larger bust size that is not typically proportional to the waist area and a larger posterior that is not typically proportionate to the hip area. This range further features a longer length jacket and higher waisted trousers to prevent exposure of the back and midriff areas when the wearer is raising their arms or bending over.
During pregnancy, women experience changes to the shape of their bodies. Standard conti suits often become tight and uncomfortable, as the shape of a woman's body changes. We have created a first-to-market, maternity cut especially for pregnant women in industry. This cut features a jacket with an extended front and sides, accommodating for a growing bust and belly area, as well as trousers with a cotton-knit insert at the side seams and a broad knitted cotton waist band, providing increased comfort for a growing belly.

SISI has created a range of safety wear garments with added padding in the seat area. Our Durafit range offers enhanced comfort to the wearer, as well as improved durability to the garments.
This fabric comprises 35% cotton and 65% polyester. Cotton is a natural fibre that is known for its breathability, while polyester is a man-made fibre that is known for its resilience and washability.
This fabric is made from 100% cotton and is SABS approved. As a natural fibre, cotton is soft, highly breathable and acts as an insulator. The benefit of this fabric is that the wearer will remain cool in the summer months and warm in winter.
